Restaurant owners, Matthew Smith,  Michael Davies and new owner Stephen Golding have accomplished a great deal in a very short time. After working in hospitality together for several years, the boys decided to take over what was then a day time café.  Young and full of determination, they transformed it into what has become a well renowned, vibrant restaurant among the Adelaide Hills. Together, they have been able to form a vibrant, friendly and efficient staff base, who add to the relaxing atmosphere that Tranquilo creates.

Restaurant Tranquilo’s team of  chefs are dedicated to delivering meals of a high and reputable standard. Having previously all worked together in the same kitchen for four years, the team have developed a strong bond and a smooth and integrated working ethic. With Stephen Golding as head chef, who has worked as a qualified chef for the past 20 years, his experience in Spanish cuisine has been the corner stone of beautifully cooked and presented food. Ably assisted by exciting young chef Daniel Hood and all rounder  Michelle Golding the Tranquilo kitchen has taken Adelaide’s restaurant scene by storm.
